Nylon Carpets

There are many types of nylon that offer the comfort and durability of regular carpet but are more environmentally conscious. Type-6 and Type-6,6 are the most common types of nylon that are used in the manufacturing of carpet and can later be recycled to recover 99 percent of the energy and material used to make the carpet.

Shaw’s Anso Nylon fiber brand is SCS certified and made with 25% recycled content. Shaw’s carpets are eco-friendly and easily recyclable which gives them the cradle to cradle certification by the MBDC (a certification which verifies a company’s use of healthy materials and eco-intelligent design).

Tuftex is a division of Queen Carpet Corporation, a subsidiary of Shaw Carpet Corporation. Utilizing fibers such as Anso CrushResister III TLC, Stainmaster, Wear Dated II and many others, Tuftex’s Rug collection offers a unique assortment of environmentally friendly area rugs for every room in the house.

Royalty’s carpets are made from Type-6,6 nylon which has a higher resilience level than Type 6 making them one of the most durable nylon carpets on the market. Carpets made with these materials are not only environmentally friendly but also have very durable fibers which results in good resiliency, great stain resistance and excellent abrasion resistance.
